  • Steinberg won't actively come to this pretracker to collect information. They prefer to collect via messages sent to the following:

    • Public or private messages sent to Daniel Spreadbury or his teammates' SNS accounts (Facebook & Twitter) or Email accounts.
    • Direct complains filed to the Dorico sub-forum of Steinberg official forum (link).
    • Email support or ticketing system provided by Steinberg official or retailers (probably the most inefficient).

If your issue is not related to the Chinese MUI Localization of Dorico, please send it directly to the Steinberg Official Forum.

Shiki's Note:
  1. Updated the expected translations to meet terms defined in related music-engraving standard book (ISBN-13: 978-7103048504).
  2. Regarding Staccatissimo, the standard book mentioned above is a newly-published book with the new translation "短断音". However, "特断音" and "大断奏" are already used in Wikipedia. I strongly recommend Steinberg to do some research among conservatories in Mainland China to see which is the most preferred among "短断音", "特断音", and "大断奏".
  3. Regarding Staccato: According to the standard book mentioned above: if only use this sign, it is called "半断音" and the note length reduces 50%; if using it together with slurs (which is what I don't know regarding how Dorico behaves with it), the note length reduces 25%. I prefer "断音" if only translating the word "staccato".
  4. The standard book (mentioned above) quotes massively from books published in USSR (Soviet). This fact may prove that this book can bring incomfortability to those people who already get used with terminological systems translated from US or Japan, hence my doubts of whether I should really trust in this book.
